Show students how to set up a blog that is not visible to a search engine. Each student will need to set up their own blog and retrieve the published URL so that we can use these blogs for reflections for this class. Discuss the benefits to blogging for K-12 students (can you give examples for Special Needs, elementary, middle, and/or high school?)

Skype
Kasia Gray, Joseph Beasley, Sallar Kalie
I have one web cam I will be happy to loan this group. Many students have laptops with built-in web cams. Please model the use of Skype by setting up a conference with someone at a distance--possibly someone in education if you have a connection--whom we could interview.

Kidspiration
Lynda Espino, Katie McGrath, Amy Klumb
We will be in the Intel lab for this presentation. The software is already installed and downloaded on the Intel lab computers.

Voicethread
Jose Martinez-Garcia, Sarahfina Fore, Nicole Ferdowsian
See this published voicethread created by one of Dr. Foulger’s students http://voicethread.com/invite/809259/QfP2Yz7lkF/ (Feel free to use this in your demo, but you will also need to create a voicethread of your own to demonstrate your expertise.)
Be sure to model and discuss K-12 uses of this tool.

SMARTBoard (Do not do a math activity!)
Amber Garcia, Huy Ho, Kari Lindstrom
Drop by the Intel Lab or the Teacher Resource Library to practice on the SMARTboard there. You can do this individually, or with your group. I will book the Intel Lab on this day for our class session. I also have many lessons created in Notebook 10—if you make an appointment, I will show you how the program works and share a few examples.

Electronic gradebooks
John Mockler, Len Mason, Brittany Milne
Every district has a district license to an electronic gradebook. For your demo, use Easygrade Pro. (You can download the software from the company's web site and manuals are there too.) The software is loaded on our instructor station for your demo. For this particular innovation your classmates will not be able to have a hands-on experience (but you might use NetOps!).
